Resistor missing near touch fpc R1753

Hi Please see images,

I'm not sure if there was supposed to be a resistor where i have circled in red? if so can this be replaced / bridged safely?

second, i guess this amount of damage would cause the touch to become unresponsive?

Also would either of these cause issues with the lcd backlight ? it was working though i'm unsure if i blew the fuse or if this damage could effect it..

thanks

Kris

It is interesting that my schematics appear to be different. However R1753 can be found.

It is a 0 Ohm jumper for touch controller datalink clock. Without it the touch data cannot be established.

Since it is 0 Ohm, you can bridge it directly.

However again please note that my schematics are somehow different.

Hi Tom,

Many thanks.. i got the schematic from https://datasheetgadget.files.wordpress....

which does show 0 Ohm indeed

hopefully can get the fpc repaired and ask them to bridge that at the same time :)
