MacBook Black screen

Hi my macbook pro15" boot to a black screen but i can hold a lamp over my laptop i can see the apple display and mac os x in the black ground. the only thing is that it wont light up still a black screen.

There are several known issues on different machines. Please identify exactly which machine you have.
