battery will not charge.

i have a g 4 the power cord was tripped over and pulled and the charging receptor in the computer may have been damaged. battery will not charge

want to open computer and fix.

Options

The most likely problem is your DC-IN port. We need to know the Exact model you have to direct you to the correct part and repair manual. Remove the battery and look in the compartment as most Books have this information in there.

all procedures followed and ok until the last. the rj11 cable and square piece is not on replacement part! there is just a space on replacement part. what do i do next? does taht piece get rmoved from old part and attached to new? or is part wrong?
