Home button wont sit flush after replacement

So, I have no issues with soldering the home button flex into the new digitizer, but when transferring the actual button to the new glass the button always seems to sink in after a few pushes of the button. Any tips, or any help at all with this would be great.

Hi Cassidy,

This is probably due to the way the button is glued in, are you using double sided adhesive? If so, maybe the adhesive isn't strong enough, or you're not cleaning the area well enough. :-)

I am using double sided tape. I'm using the same tape I use with the air home buttons, and I never have a problem with those ones. Maybe I'll try a different tape for the minis..

Thank you!!

It could also be the quality of digitizer you are getting, as some are too thin, or too thick, to the home button doesn't sit flush. :-)

If you take a look at a factory home button you will notice that it has a small amount of glue around the home button bracket. Try adding some on and see it work.
