Why is my screen red?

I left my iPhone 5s in my room and when i got back the screen was red with black lines in the middle. But the sound and the touch both work. For example i can type in my password and i can go in any app that i want but i just can't see the screen i press by guess. what should I do?

I think it is the proximity camera flex,

First of all hold power and home button for 15 seconds to reset.

If this still persists:

Open up the iPhone and disconnect the 3 flex cables from the motherboard, re-sit them and then turn your phone on again.

Had the same issue with a phone I was repairing. There was severe damage to the upper portion of the screen assembly, which had apparently caused damage to the proximity/front facing camera flex cable (this component also contains a microphone, background sound sensor, and the earpiece speaker contacts). Replaced the component and the phone worked fine.

Replacement of most embedded components requires some level of skilled labor. Disassembling a device may void or limit the manufacturer's warranty.
