My iPad screen went black

I've dropped my iPad on the carpet by accident and the colors where disordered with a lot of green. I've also had this problem before and managed to fix it by gently tapping the border on the down side with a hammer. So I did it again. Insead this time my screen went black. I can see it is still working because if I stay in a dark room and press the Home button the screen will light up. Do I have to get the display replaced or is there a solution?

Have you tried the home button lock button combination?

If so, the cable to the LCD may need replacing, or the LCD may need replacing, if that doesn't work, the back light may be busted, and that requires microsoldering.

Yes, I've tried it too. Apparently the black light is okay and it's an LCD problem. I will go today in a service to get it changed...

But thank you so much for trying to help me!
