If I am willing is there a way?

If I were willing to dismantle my machine completely, and replace the logicboard completely, would it be possible to upgrade from the 1.4 core i5 and 4 gigs of ram to the core i7 and 8 gigs of ram? I know they are both soldered onto the board, my question is did they change the mounting of the board at all when changing over to the larger ram amounts or the different processor?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

You would really have to pay attention to screw placement on the new board but it's perfectly feasible to do. Although you would most likely have to replace stuff besides the logic board in the swap because of the different specs and most likely the need for a newer gen charge port or higher wattage power requirement.
