Device not able to charge from any power source

Hello Community,

I have a PSP 2000 that was given to me as a gift for a birthday. Last December I took it on a flight with me to Hawaii. It stayed in my Hotel room but I believe it may have met it's demise under a wet towel.

I cannot get the unit to charge or power on when plugged into an internal power source. I have tried swapping the battery. This has presented to relief for my dead hand held. Sony has said they will not repair it.

Is there any repair that is recommended before I just go pick up a new PSP? Thanks for your time.

There is a fuse on the board that connects to the power section on the board. It is most likely one of these. They are a resistor with a number stamped on it. It will not be easy to find it without some knowledge of circuits. There are probably a lot of howtos out there to help you.

well it could be that the charge wire (inside the device) could be damaged and you may need to replace it,or the logic board
