Thermal Paste on 8 memory chips around the GPU

Hi,

I have followed your tear down guides for imac 27 late 2012 logic board.

I purchased the arctic silver thermal paste from you.

There are 8 chips in 2 rows of 4 next to the GPU.

They had a white paste on them in the tear down.

The GPU had a silver paste.

What should I put on top of those 8 chips before installing the heat sink assembly?

Options

The height of the memory chips are lower than the GPU, so Apple used a paste which can gap the difference.

I prefer to use a heat pad but you can't just use anything as the measure of the gap dictates what pad thickness is needed. Here is one source: Heat Pads

@Mayer - It's what I could find on the big I-Net ;-} I still have a collection of pads which I'm still using I got years ago. That source is long since gone ;-{
