hdd replacement in 27" iMac

My WD1001FALS hdd failed in my 1010 27 imac and I need to replace it. I was wondering if it was worth the upgrade to install the WD1003FZEX or if I should just go ahead and put in another WD1001FALS?

And, will the WD1003FZEX simply plug and play or will I need to make some changes to get it to work in my machine.

Thanks.

Apple used priority heat sensors on these drives. Stay with the same brand as the heat sensor cables are different. OWC is the best place to get the correct drive. Using the wrong one will cause the drive to run constantly and the fan to run full blast and burn the drive up.

The in-line Digital thermal Sensor helps solve this issue: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/DIDIM...

Then here are the drives you can use:
