Lcd screen not responsive

I followed the directions twice after replacing the glass but nothing turns on at all when I hold the power button. Everything appears to be hooked up the correct way. Can anyone tell me what I may have done wrong? It was working fine before I messed with it, only had a shaddered screen. Help!
