Is the hard drive in my PowerBook compatible with my iBook?

I have a 160gB hard drive in my 12" powerbook and would like to put it in the 13" iBook g4 that I just bought. Are they compatible?

Hi, iBooks are 12" and 14"--I know of no 13" iBooks. If your new computer is a iBook then the drive should work. If the computer is a MacBook then it won't work. Early PowerBooks and iBooks used IDE/ATA drives--MacBooks use SATA drives.

Yes, you can unplug the hard drive from your PowerBook and plug it into your iBook and you should be good to go.
