I imac does not open all the time and for awhile would run for shorter times before freezing. Pressing command,alt,esc did nothing. Now it may or may not open & when it does, the opening screen is frozen. How do I fix it? Thanks

The iMac G5 will not operate on system 10.6. 10.6 requires an Intel processor. The highest you can go with this machine is 10.5.8. Reinstall the lower system. I have no idea how you got the 10.6 on in the first palce unless you installed via target mode or installed externally from an Intel machine or moved the drive from an Intel machine.
