Battery Capacity Dropped 10 Percent Instantly

I ordered a new battery from iFixit a month ago and the capacity dropped below 80 percent within a week or so. They replaced the battery for me and I was happy becuase it worked much better. Until today when my computer shut down suddenly and wouldn't respond to the power button or the side battery indicator. I opened it up to check and everything appeared ok. Once it was open I was able to power it on with no problems but I checked the battery and I lost 10 percent capacity. Now I could certainly try to get another battery, and I probably will if it doesn't resolve by next week, but in the meantime does anyone have any suggestions for how I might get the capacity back?

I've already tried the SMC and PVRAM with no result.

On these older machines I'm happy to get a 90% of original capacity on new batteries. Your is a little low but not significantly. Go ahead and fully discharge it and then recharge and see if it gains some back. This allows it to fully recycle.

I did that last night. Booted it up this morning and now I'm down to 84 percent. :(

What was happening with the old battery?

The original battery said it needed service and was at below 80 percent. I think I had about 500 load cycles on it though.
