Is the Superdrive PATA or SATA?

I want to get a new OWC SSD and put my old HDD in the Superdrive bay. I was wondering if the Superdrive is PATA or SATA? Will it take a big performance hit if it is PATA and I install it with an adapter? Thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

It's PATA. You can look it up in the system profiler (About thie Mac -> More Information)

Yes, it's PATA but if your getting an optibay or something like that, it won't matter much. The original hard drive isn't even approaching the limits of PATA/100. The SSD does approach the 150 limit of SATA so you would be fine doing what you are suggesting.
