Frozen after I turn it on

My Kindle Fire is stuck on the shut down/cancel mode. It won't respond to either. Just frozen. I've been trying to let the battery die down so I can try to recharge it. But after 3 days it still lights up in the same mode. Tried taping it, shaking it, talking to it Nothings working. Can you help, please?
