How to fix soft teddy bear

We are Brazilian and lived in UK for 4 years. When we back to Brasil my daughter brought her big teddy bear. She is now 26 and she wants to give this teddy to her 3 years old daughter. But teddy is damaged in a way I cannot explain, even I have not seen in internet the material her teddy is made from. Wish I could send a picture...It would be great if some one could let me know some way to upload picture.
