Thermal sensor placement on new SSD

I'm replacing the old hard drive in my Mac Mini late 09 with an SSD from Crucial. I was curious what I'm suppose to do with the thermal sensor? Crucial customer service told me it's not needed on their SSD and just not do anything with it. I'm assuming it's there for a reason, and I don't want anything happening to my computer if it isn't hooked up, and I certainly don't want my fan running at full speed all the time. Do I need to attach it to new SSD?

Why not. It sure can't hurt anything.
