Is it the baseband?

Hi ,

I have an iPhone 5 that I made fell for about 50cm . I found that the battery was disconnected and it was there NAND ERROR which I repaired by changing the screen ( the digitizer not work) Well the starts and everything works ... I also had a problem at the rear camera (2 spots that would not be removed even after doing a little cleaning so I ended up changed. after that ! the iPhone works but it gets stuck on "Searching ..." ( And when I remove the SIM it not show me the message no SIM Installed ) I tried everything ( airplane mode , reset the iPhone, remove the SIM ... ) I could not activate the iPhone. and I finally restore via iTunes that shows me the error 47. So I hope you can help me and thank you in advance.

-------- PS : I read that this was the baseband which was ruined , but I do not think the repairer have made a mistake !

Answer this question I have this problem too

error 1 and error 47 are completely baseband related and often occour after a waterdamage affecting the baseband area or a drop which might have damaged the connections between baseband IC and the logicboard.

theese are the most difficult errors to repair and even tho many claim to repair it, I have yet to see someone repair the baseband for real. In many cases the baseband has to be reprogrammed which is super difficult since the machine you need for it is not available in Europe or US for sale.

sorry, wish I could be of more help but it seems like your device is bricked.

Some people try to heat the baseband area and do some crazy freezer stuff, but I would not recommend any of this. This is beyond a do it yourself repair

Thank you for answering ! So, the only thing that I can do is to change the motherboard. :( After I have repaired the screen for more than 100$ ! These iPhones are very fragile !!
