New iFixit battery draining quickly and phone heats up

Just installed a new iFixit battery for a iPhone 4s I own. It's a 32 Gb if that matters. The previous battery I bought drained very quickly too but the phone would not get hot from simple internet surfing. It would only get hot when I played any games. The previous battery was a China knock off by the way. I read somewhere on here that disconnecting the logic board would be something to solve this issue (is there any truth with that?) but wanted to know if there was someone that had this problem before and found a solid solution. Could it be a bad logic board or something else to cause the battery to drain so fast? Or another component that is bad. I replaced the front camera before the same time I installed the China knock off battery. Your help and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We have seen some iPhones that have had a software bug causing battery life not to last as long as it should.

We recommend that you charge the battery to 100% and then use it as you normally would until the battery is at 20%.

When the battery is at 20% if you would go into Settings-General-Usage-Battery Usage, and take a screen shot using the home button and lock button pressed at the same time.

If the battery is from us, shoot us an email at Support (At) ifixit.com.
