Larger Hard Drive Options

I would like to install a larger internal drive preferably 3 or 4 GB. Is that even an option?? Cal T

iMac 27 Mid 2010 with Seagate 1TB ST31000528AS drive.

Yes, it's possible but........ Apple installed priority hard drives with temperature sensors in this model. To upgrade to an off-the -shelf drive you will need a In-line Digital Thermal Sensor for iMac 2009-2010 Hard Drive Upgrade. Without it the fan will run unabated.

I would recommend a hybrid drive for this model like a Seagate SSHD in a 1 to 4 TB.
