Screen replacement compatibility with Canadian networks

I am looking to replace the cracked screen on my Galaxy S5, I saw on the site here that they have a display replacement but under compatibility it says it will work with phones registered with AT&T or other American mobile providers. I am Canadian and my phone is registered with Telus. Will the replacement still work or will my phone reject it because it does not recognize its serial number or something along those lines?

What models would match internal parts to the Canadian model? I need to rebuild my friend's phone as a way of getting out of the friend zone, smart guys turn her on and she just broke her phone lmao I don't think it's gonna work but hey doing something nice is never a bad thing. Mother/logic board and such? I'm more experienced with iPhones

I know more about iPhones, than I do about Galaxy. But, pretty sure, with those, it has to do with the housing. The cables and connectivity are the same
