Laid Washer on Side, Now Thumping During Spin
Needed to replace clutch. Made mistake of laying machine on side. After removing motor and transmission, I remember something shifting. After repair, machine cyles through and begins to spin up (didn't before the clutch replacement)everything works fine until she spins up, then thumping/knocking begins.
If I recall, it was the triangular thing that shifted underneath, I tired to put back in place when machine was on side, then got distracted and forgot to see what happened.
Any ideas? Do I need to remove the motor and transmission again?
Is this a good question?

Have you tried getting it off its side? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Sorry, thought it was in there.
Kenmore Series 70 Washer.
I have replaced the coupler, drive block, and now the clutch. Was not thumping before tipping it on its side to replace the clutch. Think it might be a spring that came loose and allowed the skid plate to shift as I was pulling the drive shaft and transmission.
