problem in installing the mac 10.6 for iPhone

Hi i have a problem when i am going to install the mac os 10.6,the problem is "You cannot install Mac OS X Server Update on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update.". Thank you

ok, i think the "iphone" in the title is a typo

and to answer the other part of the question - the error message comes normally when you try to install the "Mac OS X Server Update" on a regular osx version.
