Be sure that the trackpad is turned on, then go to Bluetooth in system preferences. Click the + button in the bottom left and your computer will start looking for new Bluetooth devices in a new window "Bluetooth Setup Assistant". If your trackpad doesn't show up, ensure that the Bluetooth is working by connecting another device via Bluetooth.

I have the same problem as the 1st question. I have no problem installing the trackpad, but I have OS 10.6.4 and the trackpad does not show up in the preferences. So... i cannot use gestures or tap click with my new trackpad
