HDD replaced with SSD
Is it possible to replace the original HD with an SSD as i still require a DVD.

this is a hard drive replacement guide here on ifixit. in the comments it is stated that someone replaced the hdd with an ssd and used an ssd fan control for cooling. I hope that this helps you
