run ipad app on mac 10.5.8 and sdk 3.1

Hi,i have an iphone apps and it is runing in iphone simulator and at the same time i want to run into ipad simulator but it is not working becouse it wants to update the sdk version,so i want to know that how i update the sdk version and mac os version.At present i am using mac 10.5.8 and sdk 3.1 version,is it possible to run ipad app,if not then please tell me the step by step process and guidence to run the app.thanks and regardes.

I believe you need to upgrade to iPhone/iPad SDK 4.0 or 4.0.1 beta. These should be available at Apple's Developer site. Here's a link to the web page. They should run on leopard, but you might have to upgrade to snow leopard.

Hi Cahis,thank you for your responce.I download the SDK 4.0 and when i am going to insatal this it need the upgrading the mac 10.6 so i also downlaod the mac 10.6,when i am going to insatl the mac it give the error is ''You cannot install Mac OS X Server Update on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."',so i want to know how i resolve this problem.thank you
