Why is my iPhone 4S say Searching after battery change?

After replacing battery using an iFixit kit for iPhone 4S, the upper left hand corner says "Searching." It's supposed to display the signal strength and "Verizon." However, WiFi connects and I called my 4S and I called from my 4S and they both work. Can I just ignore this or do I have to have it fixed at Verizon? Thanks for any replies
