iPhone 5 Screen Going black after replacement when put in frame

After repairing a customers iphone 5 and verifying the new screen functioned properly I put it back into the frame and it immediately goes black when I out the top right corner of the screen in place. If I leave just that corner slightly out it works fine. I dont know what could posibly be wrong. I thought it was the ambient light sensor thinking it was next to a face causing it to go black but I cannot confirm and dont see how just that corner would be affecting it that way,

Hi Roderick,

To me, it sounds like the backlight is getting shorted out on the frame, or a screw or shield. Pull the LCD assembly back off, and inspect the cables. On the longer cable, there will be 3 solder points and a small cable that attaches to the backlight. If these solder points are exposed they can ground out on another part of the phone and cause the screen to go black. Try covering them up with some sort tape and then re-install the screen. Hope this helps!

I appreciate it! Put a piece of tape over it and it worked perfectly
