How to find out if my cellular antenna is damaged for sure?

I have this "searching..." error and tried everything already..! The only possible fix is to replace the cellular antenna, since I dropped the phone a lot of times and I heard that this could cause my problem too. However, is there any way to check if the antenna is really damaged or broke before I go and waste my money for nothing?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Just a suggestion but sometimes its not the antenna but the SIM card from the carrier that has gotten dislodged or messed up somehow, maybe a droplet or water perfectly landed on the door to it, or whatever, might check that first since it the easiest then, if your cell carrier doesn't use SIM cards then disregard this message

thanks for your answer! I checked that too... with a second (and 100% functioning) SIM-card but it didn't solve the problem... But once I did a hard reset and I got signal for 10 minutes but then it went back to "searching..." again..! :/

Adam Kustrio - I have an iPhone SE. It fell off a counter I have that might be 3 foot high. After that, I wasn't able to call out or receive calls. I took it to the T-Mobile store, they exchanged the SIM card, and that didn't work. (Same situation) - they suggested calling the claim number to report the antenna is messed up, and to ask for an exchange (since my phone isn't paid off yet). I shall see!!
