For what are those pins on the backside?

Hello and thanks for the teardown. Do you have any further information about those two pins on the backside of the device?

Hey Tim! OnePlus claims that those two pins "...let the system recognize the StyleSwap and change the theme on H2OS.". In other words, H2OS will change the system theme to match the StyleSwap cover that you have attached.

There was a theory that the pins were used as some sort of proprietary mobile payment system in countries such as China and Korea... not 100% sure though
