swapping home button colors

Can you take the home button off the connective strip and attach a new one? or do you have to buy a new strrip and button and attach them and then install it

I'm in the same boat. I'll be getting mine on the 13/10/2010 so when I do the strip down I'll let you know. I just bought the white home button with no cable attached so hopefully I'll have some good news for you!!

you can change the home button with out removing the cable. just secure the cable with one finger so it doesnt rip out and gently peel off the button.
