How to replace the SIM Micro SD reader

Hello I have a Galaxy S5 and the SIM/Micro SD reader is not working. I was going to replace it but cant find any info. Can you replace the part or it is connected to the mother board.

Hello Christopher,

The sim/sd slot on an s5 is soldered to the motherboard. It will require a solerding iron, heat gun, and several other things to change. This would not be a repair for someone who has no soldering experience as you will most likely trash the board. Not to mention you have to pry the LCD out to even open an s5, and thats fairly difficult. I would highly recommend taking it to a professional
