Hi nancyi,

Apple does not distribute original parts for iOS devices through any channel. You can only get original parts when they are being installed in an Apple Store and in SOME cases -for SOME spare parts- through Apple Certified Service Centers.

The alternative to Apple Store parts are parts of varying qualities ranging from extremely bad to very good quality, found:

A/ On websites such as eBay/Amazon,

B/ In smartphone repair shops,

C/ And through the websites of specialized resellers.

Your best bet for a DIY repair is option C provided the seller is reputed, and the parts are warranted.

I advise you to buy from iFixit.com for many reasons. 1st they sell near original quality parts. 2nd, they stand behind their parts with a solid life-time warranty. 3rd, they offer such a nice platform for DYIers and Pros to share knowledge that it would be nice to show them some love and buy from them vs. anonymous eBay sellers providing questionable quality parts. 4th and finally, you ought to buy good quality parts (not just warranted) to avoid having to repeat the repair since every time you open your phone, you risk causing damage.

It is a very hard thing to tell. If you have the screens you can plug them into the phone and see it there is any color distortion. Otherwise it is very hard to tell.
