need help identifying "leftover" part from inside iPhone 5S

don't know where bottom part in photo goes - upper part is the shield from the home button ribbon cable connector ; lower part seems to fit perfectly over the top part but I dont remember taking it off from there, and i dont see it in any of the guides! any help is appreciated - apologies for the bad post of just the photo right before this one!

It goes over the home button/touch ID ribbon cable - see that part of the guide for pictures
