WHAT IS UP WITH THE HOME BUTTON ISSUE ON THE iPhone 6

Hi Everybody,

Just wanted to see if anyone out there knows how to bypass iTunes error 53 due to a replaced home button, I get the error even if I try to restore it with the home button unplugged, same thing. From what I researched and read here it looks like the 600 dollar phone is bricked because of a 10 dollar part. Apple says bring it in if the phone is under warranty, but what about all the other iphone 6 and 6 plus that arent?? That means if for whatever reason something happens to the home button and you replace it, your phone is useless if you try to restore or update it?! OK, if touch id is not working let it not work, but we should be able to use at least the rest of the phone without any problems. I also noticed the phone will refuse to turn on with some cheaper home buttons selling on ebay for around 5 dollars. There has to be a way to restore the phone with a replacement home button without any errors, I will keep you guys posted.

Unfortunately you need the original home button for this, there isn't anything you can do.

If you had home button issues in the first place, why didn't you take it to Apple?

1. I am a Tech, I have a natural drive to fix things and Im very good at what I do.

2. The iphone 6 was released in September 2014, what happens when those iphones are out of warranty and apple wants to charge you the full price of the phone to fix a home button issue like they want to do now.

3. Apple doesnt cover physical damage. If somebody drops their iPhone 6 and breaks the home button along with the screen Apple is going to charge them the full price of the phone because of the home button. This is BS on Apples part.

Hey Arsen, this video (hardware fix) seems to have to solution to your issue with the iTunes 53 error for the iPhone 6. Another fix is to replace the long ribbon cable behind the screen (nothing wrong with trying even though error 53 is related to touch id) Also, try using a different charger. These two solutions seem to work for a lot of people.

-Let me know how it goes.
