Hi to all
Yesterday i opened my mac to clean a little bit of dust located on the fans and everything.. Once i did that when i tried to have a call with a friend on skype the microphone dont even worked :( ... Before i cleaned it was perfect.. so i was wondering if anyone here could help me .. and sorry for my english im from colombia

How did u clean your machine? Compressed air, or something else? If you used compressed air, I highly doubt you fouled anything up. Now try to make another Skype call and on the bottom left of the corner make sure the mic Icon is set to active. If all is good there, then go to System Preferences > Sounds > Input and then highlight internal mic and play some music or talk and see if your MIC picks up the sounds. If that doesn't help then we can look into the hardware.

i cleaned it with a little brush.. i already do the skype call and the mic is active.. i have to be near the speaker to talk ( but i have to talk very loud) , My friend told me that it was like a STATIC Sound
A brush? Bad Idea. The best way to clean internals is with compressed air. Anyway, re-open your machine and have a look by the grille of your left speaker, I believe the mic is there. Blow some compressed air in there and see if that helps.
Did you go to the system preferences like i advised ealier?

+ OK Also try calling someone locally or different and see if the results are the same.
I have the same problem, a guy repair my mac n my microphone was off, I thought that was a problem, but the fixer tryed to steal it, but after put again it still not working. Therefore I'm afraid of going there again, I don't know what he can steal more. So now I know the part in my mac where is set the microphone. What can i do, to have it working again?

nope its internal microphone selected and i talked near to the mic and doesnt work.. i think could be hardware

Well, did your machine suffer any damage from water, or liquid spill. I highly doubt that a simple passing of a brush would cause your mic to completely fail. are you leaving anything out? You might have fouled something up while opening or closing the machine.
