Quick test for DC-in?

've seen other answers to very similar questions. My question is simple. Is there an easy way to "jump" or "short" the DC-in without having to completely tear down my MacBook Pro 13" Early 2011?

It seems I may have multiple issues. Unknown battery status (almost certainly faulty) Using a known good 60w Factory (Apple) wall charger. I pulled the battery, did the power reset (SMS?) Nothing happens with or without battery installed. No power, nothing visible, nothing audible. I'm sure I will have to replace the logic board, but looking to see if I can identify the power switch first (cheapest). I really appreciate all you do here. I have spent HOURS reviewing all your help. Never took a Mac apart don't feel too nervous with all of your excellent guides. Single owner, it was showing signs of slowness and long boot up times prior to this, I'm sure the battery has overheated as it appears to have some abnormal wear. Your thoughts, suggestions and/opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for everything.

Sincerely Yours,

Not a Logic Board Please :)

P.S. A few screenshots for a very inexperienced person would be GREATLY appreciated.

You don't need a new logic board, but you might have to fix the one you have.

Measure the adapter sense pin on the dc in board and see what you have. 2.7 to 3v is normal, 16v means something is &&^&@@.

In terms of jumping, no. The charger won't actually output power without onewire communication, so even if you want to this will never work.

If you want to start troubleshooting this machine, buy a boardview and a schematic for an 820-2936 logic board online and we'll work together to fix it. Otherwise just buy new board + dc in board.

Also was this water, drop, or out of the blue? Remember we are not Apple so lying here gets you nowhere!
