Hey Blake...I think I just answered your question somewhere else but I'll answer it here to for anyone who sees this question.

First, be sure that your outlet is working and be sure that the power cord for the PS4 is good and plugged in all the way.

Second, if you don't have any lights and it doesn't make any noises when you try to turn it on (and assuming that there has been no recent damage to the PS4) they it is quite likely that your power supply is bad. That is the first thing I suspect when I see consoles like this.

There is not a good, easy way to test the power supply. When I get these in my shop I just put a known good power supply in it to test so if you know anyone who has the same model PS4 you could try to talk them into letting you check it with their power supply. Other than that the easiest thing to do is to just buy a good used one to try.

I hope this helps.

Ha, ha...that makes sense! It is possible that the power supply is not the issue, it's just the most likely issue.

guess all i can do is buy another one and find out but if it winds up not being the prob what other thing could it be? i am buying the power supply today if they have it instock so i should no today.

by

and do i need to get a power supply or psu or are they the same?

by

Power supply=PSU

If this doesn't fix it then you'll need to have it repaired. Keep in mind though that not all of these are fixable so just be prepared in case it's not fixable.
