Do you get an error code with it? What exactly are you trying to accomplish? what works and what are you seeing on your screen? what have you tried?

Options

Unlock a hard drive? To use a new drive it must first be formatted. If the old drive still works you can use it with a Universal Adapter to boot from and then use the disk utility to format it, then a clone app to copy it to the new drive: or, use your original system DVD to boot from, format it then install a system.
