Replaced battery and the screen is now messed up.

I need help! I had a failing bettery in my iPhone 5s, so i purchased a new battery with the toolkit that was required to disassemble the iPhone 5s. I took apart my phone while watching a tutorial so i wouldnt mess up at all, i did everything exactly how i was supposed to, but it didnt work. The new battery was putting out a charge because the screen lights up when i press the home or power buttons, but the touch is rarely recognized on the screen, and the screen looks like an old TV set on a blank channel (just a black or light grey screen with a few different colored lines/rectangles). As you can probably tell, this is not supposed to happen. I think i may have damaged the digitizer cord and the LCD cord, but i really dont know and i really need to be able to use my phone this next week. Please, anything that comes to mind just write it down, even if you dont think it can help! I really need my phone to work!!!

Also it takes charge, siri function works, the only problem is the display on the screen and the touch recognition, for as i said the screen lights up and shows lines or rectangles...

Hope somebody can help, Thanks!!!

I really need my phone soon, so i ordered a whole new screen with the home button, front camera, and all the cables attached. So when that gets in i will swap screens and hopefully that works, but i would still appreciate it if any of you think you know whats happened. thanks!

This has happened to me too. The best thing to do is cycle the battery -

1. Disconnect the display data cable

2. Disconnect the battery connector

3. Reconnect the battery, then the display cable.

After that, the display should be working better. You may have to do this a few times.
