Get yourself another battery, a high quality or a genuine one. this one will damage your phone.

I found that it's not the battery that is heating up but the area around the Qualcomm modem. It stopped heating while i was assembling and when I turned it on, it works fine but started heating up again. The source was from right below the sim card slot. My phone worked fine aside from the heating but the screen would suddenly show blue vertical lines, and would reboot. Should I change the battery? I bought a genuine battery. Is there anything else i should replace?

When you install a battery replacement by yourself, such as when you purchase it from Ebay or Amazon, you run the risk of having a faulty one which can eventually damage your hard drive and phone. Take it out immediately and replace it with a genuine one

I bought it from a trustworthy supplier. Didn't get it from Amazon or Ebay to avoid that.
