numbers, cannot open as xml. file missing

can't seem to open any of my numbers files, even though i've been using them almost daily and they're in my recents log... can anyone tell me what is going on?

I know it's cliche, but have you tried rebooting your computer? Sometimes file association gets wonky and needs a fresh reboot.
