Where does this gold plate go?

I've tried looking it up but this piece does not show up anywhere. Does anyone know where it belongs? Its gold on one end and the other side its black (but it shows up as silver in the picture).

it. goes under the battery connector. The hole in the plate lines up with the top screw hole for the battery.
