Why is the sound coming out of my speakers muffled?

Sound is coming from the speakers, so I know the sender and receiver are connected. I have tried reconnecting the devices and turning the devices on/off but with the same result: unclear sound.

Answer this question I have this problem too

The most probable cause of muffled sound could be improper distance between the sender and receiver. The maximum distance between the two devices for proper functioning is 100 feet. Check to make sure the devices are within this distance of each other. Even if they are within this distance, try moving the sender/receiver closer or to a new spot as there may be something interfering with the wireless audio transmission connection. If this does not work, check to see if there is any nearby radio frequency that could be interfering with the wireless connection. If so, remove the devices from the area of interference to a place where they can communicate without interruption. This could also indicate a problem with the speaker terminal. Consider replacing the speaker terminal. For more information, refer to the device troubleshooting page.
