Why does my phone not have sound?

Whenever my phone is on I have no volume. I can not hear other people when they call me, but they can hear me. What should I do to fix it?

Hey Jake,

First, have your tried turning the device off, letting it rest for a couple of minutes, and then turning it back on? You could just be experiencing a small glitch. Nothing to big to worry about, if that is the case.

If that doesn't work, have you tried turning up the actual volume on the phone? You can change the output of sound on your phone by using the volume rocker on the left side of your device. On most smart phones, the sound has two selections: ringer and volume. The ringer volume normally shows up for alarms, reminders, etc... the volume selection controls the sound for everything else like: videos, games, phone calls etc...

What you should do is when making a phone call, turn the volume up and a little icon in the center of your screen should show you the increase in the level of sound. That should work.
