MBP Start up issue

MBP 15" A1226 mid-late 2007 MA895 MacBookPro 3.1

Replaced HD with OWC SSD & OWC new RAM, all has been well for several days.

Turned off MBP for 1 day, then turned on MBP but got Apple Logo on screen w/ Progress Bar, which then freezes 1/4 of the way.

Thank you,

Cali

Your system is hanging at some point. To see if it's something you added, start up in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key on start up. If it's an extension conflict the machine will fully boot. Then we can go back and remove the offender.

If the above fails: Could also be a something that can be repaired. Start up holding down the Option and R keys then boot from the recovery partition and run Disk Utilities.

You did not tell us how you formatted the drive, installed a system or transferred your data so if the Recovery is not there, please tell us what you did. You may have done it incorrectly. Do you have an external backup of your SSD or are you using the cloud?
