No Power & Not Charging
No Power & Not Charging
Is this a good question?
Sounds like the "Sudden Death" issue.
Try plugging it in and holding the power+volume up until it turns on. Then let it charge a bit before fully booting.
hi, I faced this problem in the last few days 2 times, after a lot of Google search,I found that it contains to main power ic work together, pm8841 and pm8941,the first one its like giving the order in my guest after the fixing,so I decided disassemble the phone and take a look ,so I opened it (you can find how to open your device by searching the Web)
First time the problem solved by following this step:
1-disconnect the battery connector
2-connect your phone to wall charger ( after testing your charger) charging led will be on
3-reconnect the battery
Now your phone it will turned on
the problem get back with no sign of life to the phone after a week! I tried the first trick but no success!
I remove the biggest cover metallic located at the middle which cover the ic , I remove the substance cooling, (The to small ic, NOT ON THE PROCESSOR!!!) reheat the ic pm8841, connect your charger and your problem iz solved! Dont forget to put cooling substance on the ic before reassembling the metallic cover!
if not work, rehot ic pm8941, good luck
This helped me (on my Sony Xperia Z3 D6603 version, but it should work for other models) after i tried everything else, it happens when you let your phone drain completely and you try to turn it on again - it leads to: it won't turn on, it won't charge (no led of any color whatsoever) PC operating system cannot detect it (or it detects it as unknown device) and PC companion software won't detect it and it doesn't react when you plug it in with 5 sec vol down hold. Button combinations mentioned above wont work at all, phone will not vibrate.
This is not my solution, i read it on Xperia forums but it was burried among useless posts of people replacing their phone as a solution (which i would consider as spam).
The 2-minute restart procedure.
Detach the SIM card slot cover.
Using the tip of a pen or similar object, press and hold down the small OFF button (generally indicated by the text "OFF") for 120 seconds (ignoring any vibrations), and then release the OFF button.
Charge the device until a charging icon appears on the screen.
Turn on your Xperia™ device.
Also, important notice: Before i held OFF button for about 120 seconds, first time i held it for around 60 seconds, the result was that when i plugged it back to USB port, LED turn on and it was red. I tried button combinations again and none of them worked, so i decided to leave the phone for around 10 minutes to charge and then WHILE IT WAS STILL CONNECTED TO CHARGER CONNECTED TO WALL SOCKET i held yellow OFF button for 120 seconds. It started vibrating 3 times per each session after ~65 seconds and then it continued in regular intervals until i stopped holding it at around 120 second mark. After that, phone turned on, red battery icon that signals that the battery depleted appeared. After that, it took couple of minutes for the phone to reset itself and it started to charge showing 1% charged. I left it like this for now since i'm still under procedure of turning it back on again. I will update when i turn it on completely.
Result: Phone was at 11% charging mark when i pressed Power button, phone turned on and it is working normal. So this solution works.
I had the same problem. At first the charging light wouldn't go on. Then some time later after trying again it did go on, but went off again after several minutes. Later it went on and stayed on, but it never changed color and I still couldn't turn the phone on.
Finally I sent my phone in for repair under warranty and they did a board swap without charging me anything. I had cyanogenmod installed, but they may not have known that if they weren't able to turn it on either.
Now my phone is working again, so I'm happy.
Ok so, my phone had died on October first, i tried everything you can see in my previous comment (No Power & Not Charging)
For a couple of days after that, the same thing would happen. I would plug it in, sometimes the charging light went on, sometimes it didn't. When it did, it was on for like 10 min, then it goes off, and then it would get back on after a while. I left it plugged for a couple of days. I would randomly try the reboot thing when the light was on. But it never vibrated or anything.
On October 27 or 28, i plugged it in and the battery charging thing showed up in the screen! If I remember correctly, i think i left it charging for a couple of minutes before trying to turn it on, then i did and it worked! Freaking phone seems like only wanted a break, weird but whatever, it came back to life after a month of being dead!
So yeah, fyi, in case it helps anyone, it took me a month of trying to charge it but it eventually worked.
So i Found the solution for my Xperia Z3 Compact Battery Problem, staying Battery level at exact 50 Percent no charging. Thing happened to me after LCD Repair. Please watch out the Battery cable and Battery connector on the logic board. I t seems to be that you can connect the battery at the wrong position on the connector. after releasing them again and cleaning both parts i watched very closely that cable connector of battery and socket on logic board fit together. Now i heard the familiar click ! and voila, with a new start battery was at 9 % and charging. Its a bit tricky to connect properly because you hardly see both parts. Hope this information helps you.
leave phone on charge and hold volume up and down together and power button press all together hold for 15 to 30 seconds and red light will come on let go of buttons and leave to charge and u will get the sony writing leave to charge and phone will come on.
