Issue with logic board?

Hello,

I have this problem with my MacBook Pro. The battery would not charge over 3 indicator light even if its left plugged in overnight. The battery charge indicator would not go to green indicating the battery is fully charged. It is not the problem with the battery because I got a new replacement battery from Apple Store but the problem persists.

If the unit is on battery it will boot up but there are times when it will just shut off right when the apple logo is displayed and times minutes after I logged in without any warning.

I have reset SMC and PRAM but the issue still persists. The unit would boot just fine when the adapter is connected all the time only having issue when its on battery. Ran software update and no firmware updates found. Ran apple hardware diagnostic and turns out to be all good.

The unit never had liquid damage or drop as it stayed on the desk all the time. What could be the issue? The logic board is bad? and the unit is out of warranty

My best guess on this is to replace the battery connector: [linked product missing or disabled: IF185-045]

Step-by-step installation instructions are listed under"More Information" on the parts page.

You could try swapping out the Left I/O Board before the logic board. Logic board is always the last option!

Why do my posts change after I post them? I said "charging board" not "Left I/O Board" !! This is very aggravating, as it's not the first time this has happened to me today.

Happened to me too, I just joined a few days ago. I assume it is moderators editing the posts. It's a bit irritating, but it's for the better, as this will provide more accurate, detailed information that is easier to search. Sometimes people (including myself) don't post in detail with good formatting, even if it is the right answer or at least a good suggestion. Also, links can be wrong, etc. I had someone correct a link I posted that was a bad link, so I'm glad they did.

In your case, charging board could be misinterpreted, whereas the Left IO board is a very specific part, and when someone is looking to purchase or replace one, it will be much easier for them find.

that may be the case, but charging board is the right part, whereas the Left I/O Board has absolutely nothing to do with the topic. also my main gripe with this problem is it keeps changing "m u l t i t o u c h" to multiPod Touch which makes absolutely no sense!

It should be called MagSafe board anyway.
