Can I use an iPhone 4s homebutton on an ipad 2?

So here's the deal...

I ordered a black front glass from ebay so i can change the front colour from the original white.

Problem is i forgot to order the button.

so... will an iphone 4s home button with the two little wings cut off do the job?
